Airport Emergency Exercise Drill – Wednesday 11 February 2015

Airport Emergency Exercise Drill – Wednesday 11 February 2015

Members of the public are advised that Invercargill Airport is to hold its biennial emergency exercise this week.

General Manager Chloe said the exercise, which allows airport staff and emergency services to practice full scale emergency response procedures, will take place following the last flight arrival on Wednesday night, after 8.00pm and will not affect scheduled flights.

“Members of the public should be aware that it is an exercise drill not a real emergency and that roads will be closed into the airport throughout the duration of the exercise.  We thank the public for their co-operation and patience during this exercise which is vital to ensure public safety.”
